CAREER INTEREST GROUP

"The Novi High School Career Interest Group had the privilege of visiting, learning about, and touring ITC Holdings Corp. and The 20 MSP (formerly Red Level). The Career Interest Group, featuring eight highly motivated and future-thinking students, is in its first year. The IG was created and established by the students in an effort to support learning about various career options for their future. Sponsored by Jennifer Kerbrat, our Career Development Facilitator, the students have taken field trips and engaged with professional speakers to learn about various career paths.

Recent visits in April were made possible through a strong and growing connection between NCSD and the Novi Chamber of Commerce. Laura Bidlack, Director of Elementary Education, and Katie Chuba, President of the Novi Chamber of Commerce, met several times this year to design the day and student experience. They hoped to connect our young, talented Novi students with local companies and career opportunities directly in our community.
